Shanklin Old Village, IOW

One of the most popular resorts on the Island, Shanklin offers something for everyone.  There's Shanklin Old Village with its thatched pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a range of gift shops for those traditional holiday souvenirs. 

Not far away is Shanklin cliff top, and also Rylstone Gardens which offers crazy golf, live band music in the summer and if you're lucky you might see a red squirrel.

There's also the town of Shanklin which has a wealth of local shops and more useful day-to-day facilities such as the bus station, train station and post office.

Take a relaxing stroll along Shanklin cliff top with its scenic walks with views of Sandown Bay.  Of course there's also Shanklin beach, which has the traditional amusements you'd expect at the seaside, including crazy golf, amusements and cafes and restaurants.

Fisherman's Cottage, IOW

At one end of the long sandy beach are fisherman's boats and Fisherman's Cottage, a thatched pub on the beach.  Nearby is the entrance to Shanklin Chine, where you can enjoy a short walk up to the waterfall and learn about flora, fauna and local history.
